Engagement Approach
How a policy exception reporting engagement moves from manuals to a committee-ready register.
1. Scoping conversation
We confirm entities, period, policy manuals in force, and whether the audience is management, the audit committee, or both. You leave with a written outline of populations we expect to need.
2. Access and extracts
You grant read-only access or supply agreed files. We send a short checklist so AP, treasury, and GL contacts know what “complete” looks like before fieldwork starts.
3. Fieldwork
Sampling, walkthroughs where commissioned, and interviews sit in a calendar you can share internally. Findings are logged daily into the draft register — not held back for a surprise closing meeting.
4. Draft register workshop
We walk severity, waivers, and open questions with your finance lead. Disagreements about classification are documented; we do not silently drop rows to shrink the list.
5. Final pack and optional briefing
You receive the frozen register and, if commissioned, the board exception pack. We can attend one Hong Kong briefing to answer process questions — not to present management’s remediation plan for them.
What we ask of you
Named contacts who answer extract questions within two business days, clarity on which manual version applies, and a realistic committee paper deadline. Without those, dates slip.
